SUNDAY

WORSHIP

Our worship services begin at 10:00a. The music reflects both our diversity and our passion. We believe that when Jesus is the center of worship, the Spirit of God is powerfully present in the midst of the worshipping community. Our intention is to focus on Jesus in all that we do:  scripture, prayer, music, communion, and giving. We have come to worship and to encounter the Spirit of the living God. Interested in the songs we sing? Check out each week's set list here.

COMMUNITY

Community is a priority at Mosaic. Each Sunday we pause for a few minutes to talk, share, pray, grab a cup of coffee or a bite to eat, and remind one another of how important relationships really are. We're certain that God has intended that we experience life together. We all have a story to tell, and yours is just as important as anyone else's. To be a part of the community at Mosaic, all you need to do is come.

PRAYER

Prayer is an integral part of any gathering of believers. Each Sunday, prayer is a part of what we do during the Worship Service. We also take time before the service to gather and pray. At 9:25a inside the Battery, we pray for our community, for our city, our country, and the world. We pray for one another, and for the Holy Spirit to move. Join us for this 20 minutes of pre-service prayer each Sunday.

KIDS

The lessons and breakdown of classes is inspired by God's Big Story, a curriculum written by a team at St John's Church in Canada.

God's Big Story invites children to enter into the narrative of God's abounding faithfulness and love for all of his beloved children. Our aim is that children and their teachers might hear the gospel of Jesus Christ, know Jesus as their Lord and Savior and experience the fullness of new life in Christ as part of His body, the church.

The curriculum is rooted in the incredible truth that God has come to rescue his children from their own sin through his Son Jesus Christ. It explores the biblical narrative from creation and the fall to Jesus' sacrificial victory on the cross to the promise of a new heaven and earth. GBS is taught in the context of worship through liturgy, song, scripture memory, story presentation, wondering questions, catechesis (teaching of doctrine and the faith), prayer, and many reflective and creative responses geared to a variety of age groups.

Our break downs on a Sunday morning:

The Little Ones (sitting up to under 2) nursery room is open for the whole service. They do some free play, songs, lesson, snack of goldfish, and a coloring sheet.

PreK (3-5 years) meets for the second half of the service. They start with worship and prayer with the Primary Class together, then do a lesson, response, review of the lesson with a snack, and end with prayer time again.

The Primary Class (K to third grade) follows the Year A curriculum. They meet for the second half of the service. They start with worship and prayer with the PreK Class together, then break for a lesson, response, review of the lesson with a snack, and end with prayer time again.

The Intermediate Class (4th to 6th grade) follows the Year D curriculum. They meet in the staff office during the sermon for prayer, lesson, and response. The children rejoin their families for communion.
